Osvaldo Gervasi

He is Researcher and Aggregate Professor at Perugia University since 2001. His research interests ranges from Computational Chemistry, Computational Science, HPC, Virtual Reality, Web Programming and developed some tools for improving tele-rehabilitation techniques. He received a PhD in Computational Chemisty from Barcelona University, Spain and a Master degree in Chemistry from Perugia University, Italy. He is Senior Member of IEEE and ACM and member of The Internet Society and co-founder of the ISOC Italian Chapter, member of The Document Foundation (TDF) and co-founder of LibreItalia and LibreUmbria. He published 75 paper on scientific journals and peer reviewed conference proceedings, coordinated 4 PhD Thesis, delivered 4 Plenary Lectures, Co-edited 46 books of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (edited by Springer), four books of Communications in Computer and Information Science (edited by Springer), 8 volumes edited by Conference Publishing System (IEEE) and a volume edited by ACM (Web3D 2007). He edited several Special Issues of International Journals: Co-Editor of the Special Issue of Virtual Reality (I.F. = 0.341); Co-Editor of the Special Issue on Computational Science of the Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience (I.F. = 0.845), Issue 23, N. 5 (2011); Co-Editor of the Special Issue: Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology (I.F.=2.880) Volume 2012 (2012), and others. He is member of the Editorial Board of the following scientific journals: Virtual Reality (2012 I.F.: 0.341, edited by Springer); Transactions on Computational Science (edited by Springer); International Journal of Energy, Information and Communications (edited by Science and Engineering Research Support soCiety, SERSC, Korea). He is reviewer of the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), France.

Ibrahim Akman

He is a Professor and Head of Computer Engineering Department at Atilim University. His research interests include: Data Structures, Quality and Performance Measurement, Simulation, and Software Engineering. He received a PhD in Operational Research from Lancaster University, UK in 1984 and a Masters degree in Statistics from Middle East Technical University in 1981. He has published over twenty Science Citation Index (SCI) and Science Citation Index-Extended (SCIE) papers.
